Jack Saddleback spent the first four years of his life on his home reservation of the Samson Cree Nation. Moving with his Family to Calgary, Alberta at the age of four didn't stop him from being instilled with Cree values which comes through in everything he does.
From the Art he creates, to the talks he gives; the Cree values that have been taught and are being taught to him are the strong building blocks of knowledge that keeps him moving forward.
Being a Two-Spirited Transgendered man; Jack has found many struggles not only from the world at large but his own Native community but this has not stopped him from reaching new heights. Going into things with an open mind, he's an avid learner of all things. A child-like curiosity has brought him to push his own limits in the pursuit of his happiness.Jack has given talks at various venues such as the University of Calgary and the CJSW Radio station; covering such topics as being Two-Spirited, Transgendered, an Artist, an Activist and so much more.
Being a practicing Artist; he's won an award for his first animation "The Uprising" through the Calgary International Film Festival. Having recently completed his first film "Indecent Locksmith" which speaks of Aboriginal AID's; Jack is currently pursing and working on more "Artivist" projects . His other works can be found on his website.
